Hey skylane, If you’re into to white silky sand beaches, yes it does leave a bit to be desired, however if you’re into searching for unusual rocks, coral & shells, it’s great. While the distance from the seawall to the tide line is at times only inches, the width is about a half mile to the north point of Kantenah Bay but only about 300 yards from EDSS to the edge of HBR property. My wife & I took a hike to the farthest point north of the resort, a very rocky hike but worth the view looking back at the resort and the entire bay down to the Grand Palladium! I do have photos of the area mentioned and would be more than happy to share them. As to the gawkers, I personally don’t care about individuals who are curious and never saw anyone peering around the secured wall from EDSS (there may have been a few but once they saw the environment I’ll bet they walked away or got a day pass to “come over from the dark side”). On rare occasion boats will slow down about a quarter to half a mile off shore I'm sure to take peek. Pleas feel free to e-mail or PM me if you have any other questions. Or check out photos etc. at:

I get the impression from what I read that the beach itself leaves a bit to be desired. What is the width of the beach? In other words how far can you walk in either direction before you are either out of beach or off the property? How bad in the gawking from the El Dorado side or others? Thanks, Skylane

Hey Jerri, We miss the place as well, but that's what makes going back so much more fun! Unfortunately Val has moved on. We did spend an evening in PDC with her and had a blast. Several other changes with staff, etc. PM me for details if interested. CT

Yes she's still a flirt and had the cat calls going all evening from the wolves. To send a PM, click on users name to go to their page. On the left hand side under "My Contact Info" is a link "PM: Private Message", click that & type you message. CT
