I recently told a friend I was a nudist, and she surprised me by saying she was one also, long ago. She and her husband at the time even lived at a nudist campground, so she was way into it. But nowadays she won't even consider going to a nude beach or club.

We have another friend who used to hang out at the nude beach with us all the time. She recently got involved with a new boyfriend who is not a nudist, and you guessed it, she never comes to the beach anymore.

I know several men whose wives have stopped coming to the beach, but the guys continue to visit as much as ever.

I have only a small sample, but I'm wondering if this ex-nudist mentality is a female thing? Maybe some of the women here could comment on this?

You do understand that it is our prerogative!

Seriously...hormones, body changes, life changes...all of those things play into everything we do and think and act. Do you do all the same things you did when you were 20? Likely not. We all change, grow and have different priorities through life.

It is unfortunate when outside or inside changes influence what we do, but it is the reality of life. I've embraced all of the things I've done over the years and hope to experience even more. Social nudity is one of those things that I hope will stay a part of my life, but I realize it could be a transient thing for me, too. In the mean time, I certainly enjoy the nudist lifestyle my husband and I live now. It's one of the more positive times of my life!

Thanks for replying, Mrs. AZ. I actually still do some of the things I did when I was 20 ;-), although I have changed in many ways also. As someone posted in the other thread, being a nudist seems to be more of an emotional thing for women. For most men it's just about having fun.
