Nude in AK

It got up to +54 here yesterday. Not normal temps for Jan! However what is nice is being to go outside in the nude to get some work done. I got snow cleaned off the snow machine trailer, played 'ball' with the girls(our labs) which they never get tired of doing. What is not nice is that a lot of our snow has melted and turned the parking areas in to ice rinks.
While there are places I the 'lower 48' that have nicer weather for longer periods of time, I still like to have the 'freedoms' that I enjoy being in Alaska. I do enjoy reading/hearing about the adventures they everyone is doing in the 'lower 48' and hope to see everyone keep posting them. Soon it will be 'spring' time here and I will be able to really enjoy being outside again.

We have a gorge here in Niagara Falls, where the falls themselves have carved out, spilling out into Lake Ontario. I've hiked it on the U.S. side hundreds of times, but never went to the Canadian side to hike. There was one spot in particular that looked like an inlet that you could swim in (the gorge is an extremely fast moving body of water with class 5 and class 6 rapids). Today I decided to go over there and check it out. I hiked down and encountered a few people along the way. I found that inlet and sure enough, you could swim in there. It wasn't very deep, I only went in to about waist high. But nobody was really around and I figured kids were back in school, so I decided to strip down and enjoy my time down there naked. I hung out in the water for a while, then sat on the rocks for a bit. Time to leave and I decided that since I didn't see many people along my way down, I would change hiking up naked. I'm glad I did. I took each turn slowly to make sure nobody was up ahead, and would always look back to make sure nobody was catching up from behind. I made it all the way up to the top of the trail, naked. It felt great. I slipped my shorts on once up to the top, and took off my shoes. I walked back to my truck in just my shorts, and slipped those off for the drive home.

I found an old nature trail in a state park near me. The park is no longer really in use, but still open to the public and maintained. There were only two cars in the parking lot, and both of those cars were using the frisbee golf course. So I parked near one of the entrances of the trails, got out of my car naked and began to hike it. I took my shorts with me, just in case. Hiked just a little ways in and found a rather large pond. But the bugs back there were pretty fierce, so it's not a place I wanted to stay for a very long time. I walked around the lake a bit, and then headed back out the trail. Once I got to the end and made sure the coast was clear, I walked back to my truck.

June Gloom here in Sunny So Cal. Though the clouds are blocking the sun most of the morning, we get some afternoon sun and it's been nice to get out and do things in the yard.
A few weeks ago, the Prof and I took a short trip down south to the beach and took a day side trip out to DeAnza Springs Resort and got in some nude hiking. We had a great day and we both got in some naked driving/riding for the trip out and back to the beach campground. It was pretty dead in the outlying parking lots of the state beach so we were able to stop and slip on clothes to get us from the car into the motorhome.
Already a repeat trip of the same in the works!
Loves being naked. Plays well with others!

I spent a day in the Sierra foothills. It was nice and warm, but the water was very cold. At least there was water flowing out her in this forlorn, drought-stricken state.
The day was spent at a river that had smooth, slab granite. You had to pick the surface area of the slab where the contours fit your body.
I remembered talking to a woman I had met last Memorial Day. We re-introduced ourselves and talked for a bit. There was a whole variety of people there. Most were nude, and a few were not. No big deal either way. The age range of nude people was about 2 through 70. Nice to see such a variety of ages.
Funny how the season in this latitude of California has such tremendous variations in when spring occurs. In the Sierra, spring was just getting under way, while in western California, spring has long gone.
In the Midwest, they say that if you don't like the weather, wait a moment, it'll change. In northern California, if you don't like the weather, drive a few miles, east of west.

Wednesday I went to check on my favorite spot on Lake Somerville, but couldn't get to it because of the flooding. The lake was over the spillway and all accesses were under water. I had to be in S Texas on Thursday, so I drove nude and stopped at the Colorado, Guadalupe & San Antonio rivers. All were at flood stages and unsafe to enter or even approach. I did stop at Coleto Creek just below the spillway. I was able to hike down the creek for a mile or 2 and found some nice swimming holes. Then drove nude to the hotel. It was a very enjoyable ride though all of the flooding was very disturbing.

With the on set of very warm weather, for us, I have been able to get in a few nude hikes. It is great, with the extra warmth and the sun on the old body. The trail that I am hiking is only 6+ miles long, but it is a good trail to hike. I like being on this trail during the middle of the week as there are few if any others on the trail. The times that I have encounter people, there has been no adverse reactions. The only down side to the great weather we are having is the high fire danger. We have a few fires that are way out of control and only getting worse.

when fall comes and all the kids return to school the hiking trails will become more vacant and it will become time to hike again, somehow hiking in 90-100 degree weather isn't fun anymore.

My mother in law is in poor health and we've moved her out of her home and into a senior apartment complex. Getting her house ready to sell has been an ongoing process and the Prof and I have been doing much of the prep work.
We've stayed there several nights and most of the stuff to do was inside so, of course, we did it nude. The Prof was doing a few things and I decided to hit the backyard and clean that area up and did that chore in the nude as well. It's possible that one neighbor may have a view of her backyard but this morning, I saw him out front and he waved and said hello. We talked a bit about my MIL moving and that we'd be in and out and he said he'd look out after the house. Probably didn't catch me out there but if he did ... didn't seem to bother him.
I'm finally home, taking a break from the drama with the Prof's family. I'll spend some naked time after I return from getting the motorhome outta storage!

Yesterday was another good day to be outdoors. A friend and his wife bought a piece of property and they are in the process of getting it ready to build a house on it. Since he is not good at running a small dozer, he asked if I was willing and had the time to come up and do some dozer work. You mean that I would have the chance to 'play' on equipment, of course I had the time. The best part of the whole day is that there is 'no cloths allowed' at their place. That meant that I was able to spend the entire day, out side in the sun, working a dozer and getting other things done. I put in about .2 mile of drive way, got the pad ready for where the house will be built, prep the area for the pole barn and just relax with good friends! I spent several hours there and really had a good time. The down side was that I had to leave. There will be other times that I get to go out there and enjoy the fresh air.

Believe it or not we do get some hot and sunny weather in the UK and living in the South East the temperature can raise the mercury quite high!!
Most of the last 2 months I have been able to rest in our rear garden which is reasonably secluded, and when I cannot sit watching the grass grow any more, I am able to mow the lawn and do other work totally free of clothes. Why anyone would want to do anything different I do not know, leave alone that I can work on my all over tan!!!

Outside temps in the mid to high 90's for the next few days ... definitely will be outside and working on projects, working in the yard and working on that all over tan ... with an occasional dip in the pool and then an outdoor shower before coming inside for the day!

The pool is nice but in all honesty ... doesn't get used very much. I did take that dip after cutting some circles out of plywood. My back and shoulders are cooked, so I took that dip, cooled off and dried off to come inside and cool down further.
If we move ... I'll not have another pool. A larger spa/hot tub but not a pool. Grandkids don't even use it as much anymore.
