You're right, Bob. I wouldn't alter the content of anyone's post. And what Cheri has contributed was on the most part very good, and should remain.

The links within signature feature is a privilege, and a serious one from a webmaster's point of view. She'd have to stay within posting rules to continue to enjoy that huge boost in her rankings and traffic. It's not something we grant lightly. In this case we'll provide the reason within the automatic 'deleted' message.

I'm sure Cheri has done great work promoting social nudism, but she sometimes goes too far. My very first post on this forum was to introduce myself, and Cheri took it upon herself to edit my words, not for any violation of terms, but to somehow improve the clarity. As someone who has done a lot of writing online and in publications, this really shocked me - no administrator had ever altered my words before. Needless to say I immediately was turned off by this forum and have stopped here very infrequently. Now that Cheri is gone, I'll give it another try.

What is happening here is a clash of two belief systems, or paradigms, also called a paradigm shift. Here are the two major belief systems regarding nudism:
  • Paradigm #1 The essence of nudism is that no one is allowed to think or behave sexually in any manner while nude. Sexually suggestive clothing or behavior is forbidden, even while only adults are present. This is so the authorities won't think we're perverts. Any groups offering these activities are to be hated and attacked in the media. There is only one kind of nudism.

  • Paradigm #2 The essence of nudism is that clothing does not change natural behavior. People can be expected to know how to behave in various contexts, and to refrain from overt sexual acts. We trust the authorities to recognize that dirty dancing in sexy costume is not a sex act. Hateful attacks upon establishments advertising truthfully and within these guidelines are not allowed. Nudism comes in many colors.
We, the Society for Understanding Nudism (SUN), recognize and support Paradigm Two. AANR and other ultra-conservative groups and individuals seem to operate under Paradigm One. The problem with Paradigm One is that it is becoming outdated and unsustainable. There are very few destinations in the US, perhaps less than ten, that truly adhere to this belief system in practice. In this Internet age it is doubtful the public will continue to buy the idea that only Paradigm One exists.

Yes, that's exactly the problem with your Paradigm Two - the public has never bought Paradigm One, and Paradigm Two proves that nudism is a sexual activity.

While "dirty dancing in a sexy costume" is not a sex act, it's sexual activity.

What you are talking about is not nudism, it's adult play. There's nothing wrong with that per se, but the basic rule of nudism is that one shold behave in a manner appropriate to being around children, family, friends and co-workers. Dirty Dancing at the office party certainly occurs now and then, but how many drunk and sexed-up employees have been passed over for promotion, or even fired, for inappropriate behavior.

To say that you trust the authorities to recognize the difference is fatally naive. From topless coffee shops in Maine to San Onofre beach in California, authorities are cracking down on nudity. And what about the overzealous DA in North Carolina which has called in the FBI to investigate Jasmine Trail Nudist Campground?

If you want nudist resorts regulated like strip clubs, then more power to you. No more children, no more families - just regulations, licensing, undercover police operations, zoning, you name it.

Larry, when you asked for a french/soul kiss from me at your home at which the Halloween party was held, that's not appropriate. Two of our lady members felt uncomfortable around you especially when you told one to drink up and relax.
Another said she would not attend any event at which you were present. I feel sorry foryour wife.

BTW, the oldest nonlanded club has over 100 members and about 20 have attended sine you've left at each event. The spin off club only has events at the park just west of Columbia rather than anything else.

http://skinbook.ning.com is where I can be found.

We had never intended for this thread to become a place for Cheri bashing. And from the sound of things, it seems nothing good can come from leaving it open to further comments. The situation has been explained. We have left room for some confirmation and some disagreement. It's a good time to close this thread, now that everyone has had their last word.

Just as a reminder to all the gentlemen out there— an unwelcome advance is still unwelcome whether in a textile, nudist or swinger context. Just look at the long lasting problems it can cause.

nudiarist, welcome back. Please accept my personal apology to yourself and anyone else who experienced their words being altered after the fact. Though our viewpoints differ, I would enjoy debating you elsewhere in the forum.

We received this PM from Larry, who was referenced above in Cheri's last post.

Hello,
I just wanted to respond to her accusation about me. I have never or would never ask her or any other woman for a french kiss or any other kiss. I am married to a beautiful, considerate and just a great person for 25 years. I would appreciate if you would remove her response, because it is not true period! I only brought attention to Cheri's actions to help others who are interested in nudism. The facts speak for themselves by her actions on this forum.
Thank You

[We had asked Larry if, for the sake of clarity, he would mind our just reprinting his communication above as his rebuttal, and to leave the thread as posted. He graciously agreed.]

Hello, Kevin
I am fine with you publishing a rebuttal for me.
We are a honest hardworking couple who have been
always been faithful, and I would never even think of doing the things she mentioned.
Thank You again and I appreciate very much.
Larry

Let us consider the matter settled. This thread will remain closed.
