An upcoming trip to help a friend move a truck load of belongings back to Southern Cal from TX. We will fly out and are spending two nights in hotels on the return trip. I will get my own room because my buddy knows I'm a nudist and that I sleep nude. We used to work at the same fire station for several years. He's made some silly comments before and usually tries to poke fun but his wife has actually stepped in a few times and defended us both and told him, "they can sleep any way they want ... what's it to you!?"
So, to make things easier and to save him money and ... so I can relax at night, use the computer, watch some tv and be naked in the hotel rooms for those two nights ... I'll be getting my own room and paying for it myself!

Have slept nude for so many years, not sure I could sleep any other way! Like others here, if I sense that it might bother someone, then I would also get my own room.

Agreed, the only way to go and have also done it for many years and all year round.
Its a bit more difficult when camping, which we do a bit, when you have to get up in the night to pee. We either camp in arranged parks or the high country where its very cold overnight and sleep in swags only.

One of the reasons I scope out areas to camp, whether it's in the motorhome, tent trailers, travel trailers or in a tent. Obviously in an RV with an onboard toilet, no issues but the tent trailer and tent camping, I always got up in the middle of the night to water a bush. The trick was to find one far enough away from our campsite and not too close to others. Tricky but always possible.
I was sent on a 10 day assignment with a good friend to fight fires up in Northern CA in '88. After our assignment was over and we were being brought back to a city with an airport to fly us all back home, they put us up in a hotel for two nights. I was going to go ahead and get my own room but my buddy said ... "I can deal with you sleeping nude, just stay here." So I did.
He always shared that story with others when we started telling FD war stories. I was always surprised at all the laughing and joking and then all the honesty afterwards about how many of the guys that were all laughing and joking, actually slept naked at home and preferred it but wouldn't do it at work. Didn't bother me ... did so for 32 years!

Some on the camp would join in but not all, maybe we just need to educate and encourage, although maybe not when its 0C in the high country.

That's the path I took at work and everywhere else I'm confronted about our nudist lifestyle ... educate, dispel misconceptions and encourage them to try it before denouncing it. I've had some say ... "I don't need to try it to know it's bad. I don't need to jump off a cliff to know it's not good." I always respond ... "You're equating something that would certainly kill you to something that truly is not harmful in the least!"

I've only recently begun to sleep nude, and I kind of wish I had started sooner. The one thing I noticed right way is you don't have to deal with your shirt or shorts getting all turned around your body throughout the night anymore. When I used to wear clothes, sometimes I'd wake up in the morning and find my shirt twisted around me like a straight jacket. Not anymore, although I might still put up with a shirt occasionally if its unusually cold.

Welcome to the club!
On the off chance I have to wear something to bed (when travelling with family), I can only wear shorts, never pants, because they always get too wrapped up

I have been sleeping clothes-free for about 65 years, with exceptions (boarding school dorms, visiting friends, etc.) I much prefer clothes-free, obviously  . Last year I had a minor stroke and lost some control over bodily functions,  resulting in a need to use an incontinence pad  such as they use in hospitals. It is a lot easier to wash than a sheet set, or a pair of the hated pyjamas!  It also means that (without accidents) the sheets can last a day or two longer  .

Toss and turn, toss and turn, in time PJs would be twisted so much it was uncomfortable. So off with the PJs and all clothes. Still have a big problem with sheets and blankets which get rotated, spun and the like and sometimes require serious night time rearrangement. Also problems with mummy type sleeping bags, standard bedding, conflicting with my claustrophobia. Some very cold hours outside the bag with one blanket and no heat in the tent.

I've had similar issues with sleeping bags but I solved that issue by zipping two of them together to give me a bit more room. If my wife and I are camping and in sleeping bags, zipping two of them together sometimes isn't enough room for either of us so we don't zip the bags together but do add sheets and blankets to the "bed roll" and we sleep fine.
My wife loves it when it's cold because we sleep close together for warmth. Most times we both generate too much heat but when it's really cold out, she's a much happier camper while camping when we sleep close.
When I was working and out on the fire line or in fire camp, sleeping in a bag was tough. I can't sleep with clothes on so I'd strip and get into my bag. Lots of tossing and turning and usually didn't get much real sleep but eventually I did catch some winks here and there. Knowing my need for naked sleeping, my crew always gave me the more private areas of the fire engine until I began taking a tent with me and that took care of that.
