Greetings,
I'll be in the Colorado Springs, CO area and will have some free time on the evenings of Monday August 27th to Thursday August 30th. I am REALLY hoping to discover some nice c/o springs, or at least some areas where it is safe to hike au-natural.
Traveling is limited to time - I'll be working until 6:00 or so, and should not stay out too late. And if possible, I prefer a free/public location to a private resort that charges.
Can anyone help me out?
Thanks!
Bryan

look up Dakota hot springs, or desert reef hot spring. Both are very close to Colorado Springs, about 30 minutes and are very nice to visit. If you are just looking to hike, there are hundreds of paths within 20 minutes of the springs, just find one and go for it.

Unfortunately, Dakota Hot Springs is only open until 8:00 on Mondays so they can drain it. On Tuesdays, it is their only "swimsuit required" day.
