do you regret waiting so long to become a nudist, no so much a home nudist but going to a nude beach or nudist resort.

I do regret not becoming a nudist earlier in life. I think my wife would enjoy it now, if we had started sooner. Beginning later in life she's self conscious, which gets in the way of enjoying herself. I would also have brought up our boys as nudists.
It's worked out ok, we're retired and live full time in our motor home. Spending the winters in Florida, we do get to a nude beach on occasion, which she doesn't mind.

Sure ... we both talk about it all the time. We were nudists for over 20 years before getting into social nudism, visiting beaches, resorts and joining a club. We have a great circle of close nudist friends ... closest friends we have. We always wished we had started sooner but with over 20 years of social nudism under our bellies ... we're not looking back at what could have been. We constantly look at the present, at what we have and into the future as to what we will have as far as more great memories with our closest friends who just happen to be ... nudists!
Loves being naked. Plays well with others!

I regret that I wasnt more open with my wife about my being a nudist. I was a home nudist through our married life and only with no one elsexat home. After retiring, I would do winters in Florida and do the nude beaches. The first time with my wife and her persuasion. Its all been all uphill since then. Maybe if Inwould have been more open earlier in life we would have raised our sons as nudists and we wouldnt be hiding it from them now.

Not a day goes by I don't regret not getting into nudism earlier in life. I have always been carefree around the house with nudity. I wished I would have pressed the issue when the kids were toddlers. Who knows, maybe the wife would have been more open then, and our family would have turned out to be naturist. We use to live in a very small house, with two bedrooms and one bath, so there was always an open door policy. When the kids were between the ages of 6-13, we moved into a much larger house. They each had their own room and a bath for the three to share. That caused everyone to become very private and isolated. A wife who was semi-carefree about open doors, quickly became a "nude for shower and sex only" type. Were down to one left at home now. The only hope I have is that when we are finally empty nesters, she might become more open again.

"Empty-nester" nudism is a fairly common occurrence. When there are kids involved, and nudity is not uncommon at home; it often ends either - because one of the parents doesn't want to be nude around the kids anymore - or it is the kids that grow older and "don't want to be seen naked or see Mom and Dad naked anymore!"
Then home-nudity is revisited, some 18-20 years later. Certainly, I can understand the regret of hot having been able to stay nudist with the kids as they grew up. But kids tend to drop out eventually anyway. Even my outgoing-and-enthusiastic-raised-social-nudist daughter started dropping out when she reached her teens; much to my surprise. So you can't spend too much time thinking about "what could have been" and just enjoyed your newly rediscovered clothesfreedom.

I started when I was 17 but sure I wish I had known more about the nudist lifestyle even earlier so that's why if I ever have kids they will be nudist from the start and I know it might be challenging from looking at some of these posts, but I got to be confident that I'll find a way to make them stick with the nudist lifestyle. I would lay naked on the balcony at that age, first walked naked around the house at 19 only but myself though. I suppose my real outdoor experience though was at 23 riding bike naked, and at 25 I spent my longest amount of time naked (8 days) I suppose there could have been more times to get naked to fill in those "gap" years or maybe spent longer times being naked when I was but I would say just figure out how to make up for your past as a part of your future nudist ways

I wish I would have tried social nudism a lot earlier, but I did start private nudism at around 8 or 9 years old on my own in the Sierra Nevada when my family went camping there. They were the last people to be nudists, but I disappeared for a few minutes to play in a creek. It suddenly occurred to me to go nude. Not sure why. It was sunny and warm, so perhaps I thought it would be nice to do. I was only this way for a while, and then put on my clothes on walked back around a bend in the creek to where my parents were. Kept doing that a lot as years went by, and then on my own when I started to hike nude in the Sierra.

when we moved to south florida we ended up next to a rock quarry which at age 11 i found to be a great place to explore especially on weekends and get nude but somewhere i had heard they had a nudist colony out west of town i knew at 11 i would never get to go but wish at 18 i would have checked into it.

I know the feeling, Bob. There was a nudist resort not that far from me, but I was too young to go there alone. At least we both later on become official, formal nudists

I regret being scared to go to a resort alone. but my now wife and I love going to resorts. now the hardest part besides finding time to go when its warm. is putting our clothes on to leave.

There are a few things I regret. I regret I never took advantage of going to Haulover Beach when I lived in South Florida. I regret I haven't taken more nakations. But I've been going naked for a long time, and still have time to do those things, so I'm good.

Sure ... Our regrets are that we wish we had began our social nudist life sooner but we've got over 20 years of social nudism under our bellies!
Our biggest regret and ... actually our daughter's as well, is that we didn't take them to a club and introduce them to other nudist kids. We've talked about this quite often and they wished we had forced them to continue with nudism but ... we knew that was not the right thing to do.

Perhaps it's better to concentrate more on being thankful for having been participating nudists for as long as we have. Circumstances could have been different enough where we never would have tried out a nudist resort of beach. I've been one, formally, for 8 years. I missed out on a lot of years being so, but I have those 8 years that I have enjoyed for the most part. I could have still been too cowardly to not give it a try.

No regrets about being a nudist just wish I could be nude more often but work, the weather and society are not as welcoming.
Waited till my kids have grown and gone away to university to be nude more at home. My wife was not happy when I did this years ago at home so I stopped.
Only regret is that my wife is not that keen generally at home or going to the beach.
With summer here now I am naked at home most nights when I get home from work and I find it relaxing and liberating.
