SA beach nudists make citizens' arrest over hidden esky-cam
9news.com.au - December 31, 2014

Sunbathers at an iconic nudist beach south of Adelaide have chased down and surrounded a man they suspected was secretly filming them from a camera hidden inside an esky.

The man first aroused suspicion when he was spotted positioning his esky towards an unclad couple at Muslim Beach on Sunday, December 31.

A female sunbather walked past and noticed a video camera was set up inside the esky that was apparently filming through some holes in the esky's wooden frame, News Corp reports.

The man, who was also naked aside for an Akubra hat and aged in his late 40s or early 50s, moved several hundred metres down the beach after being challenged — only to again point his esky towards another couple.

A group of about eight people then began to chase the man, calling out "he's got a camera", and surrounded him until police arrived.

Police were called to the scene but released the man with a warning because there was no hard evidence he was filming beachgoers.

I had to look up "esky". Great bit of Aussie dialect! And it's "Maslin Beach", not "Muslim Beach". LOL

So, what's an "esky"?

Naked is green.

Esky is a cooler. There is one made that goes by that name. It could also be just slang for any cooler. Short for eskimo I would guess.

The news story says that he didn't have any photographs/video on his camera. Perhaps the other beach folks were attacking someone for watching.

Naked is green.
