Sure, I have done this frequently for several years. Right now, I have over an hour long commute, so usually on the way home, I will disrobe, unless I plan to stop somewhere. It is a comfortable way to travel. Must be somewhat vigilant though, and be ready for the unexpected.

Have to be careful in daylight or in densely populated areas of course, but i find that interstates after dark, and less traveled roads are great for nude driving.
and many police won't stop you unless someone complains or you are violating traffic laws.

calmnude, That's where my 4 friends were pulled over. It seems that truckers were talking about this car full of people who were nude. They were traveling from Bell Acres area in GA back to their South Carolina park in the Upstate. 3 of the 4 were teachers. The police were listening in on the CB radio. They were all arrested and taken into custody.

I tend to think that the the phrase,"Nude when appropriate" applies here. I can't think of where nude driving is appropriate unless at a club or far out into the back county. It is alot of expalining to do to an officer for a broken taillight.

Welcome, jgeastman -I agree with you wholeheartedly. The only place I've driven a car while nude is at a resort (where I knew it wouldn't be a problem).

Welcome to the forum jgeastman. Cheri is right, you really have to be careful riding in the car nude. Somet times the police will not stop you unless someone complains, but some area are really strick about it.

Driving nude is fun, especially when you can walk to the car from the beach and drive without having to bother with clothes. Tip sit on a towel so if you are stopped you can easily cover up, what can they do you for then?

I have to weigh in again on the side of Cheri on this one. Doing something just because it feels good is not a sufficient excuse to me when if you are caught, you give a lot of ammunition to the people who want to find a reason to think we are a lunatic fringe of society. It makes it doubly tough when we try to fight against politicians regarding our Youth Leadership Camp in Virginia. We are trying to portray nudism as a mainstream lifestyle choice practiced WHERE APPROPRIATE. If you want to drive nude and you like the feeling, then get in your car or golf cart and drive round and round the nudist park or resort until you run out of gas or your golf cart battery goes dead, but PLEASE stay off the public roads and don't give the rest of us negative publicity. We have enough to handle as it is.

based on the extremists, we all have to be careful about where we are nude. regretably, many do not share our views. my experiences were of another time when people seemed to be a little less mean spirited and tunnel-visioned. so it;s nude at camp/resort,beach home. at least in this country.

Cheri -- what exactly were your friends charged with? Not even sure the stop was legit. Absent probable cause, cops cannot pull someone over, unless stopping all cars, as in sobriety checkpoints. Seems being naked inside the privacy of your own car would be very hard to notice by most other drivers.
