Hi, I'm new to the group and love what I've been reading! Most of those participating truly represent what nude recreation should be.
My wife and I are considering a trip to Hidden Beach Resort in Cancun ... we've heard some nice things about it, but would like to hear more from unbiased sources.

RABenko, A very good friend of mine visited a month or so ago and like it so much that he booked another week in February before he left.
:) Best regards, Cheri Alexander

We also have friends that have visited Hidden Beach and they also loved it. They are planning a return trip and have invited us along. Hope my wife's schedule will allow us to go.

Thank you all for the replies! So far, it is unanimous ... I have heard only rave reviews about this place. I guess it will need to be our late winter getaway for 2004.
I'll be sure to post a full review when we return.
It would be great to be part of the next nude charter flight heading for Cancun, but we'll need to get away before then.

My husband and I were part of the nude week in May 2003 that inaugurated Hidden Beach. While we stayed at neighboring El Dorado, which had been turned into a nudist resort for the week only, we were allowed to use the facilities at Hidden Beach. The food was exquisite, the service was impeccable and the facilities were quite comfortable. Friends went later in the summer, when a hurricane was headed for the area. Management stayed on top of the situation and kept them constantly apprised of the situation, with a clear plan of action for any situation. They didn't have to evacuate, but the hotel had buses standing by to take them inland should the need arise. They were quite pleased with the responsibility shown by management.
I'd return to Hidden Beach in a heartbeat!

Please indulge a trivial question: does Hidden Beach have reasonably secure parking for people who drive there? We are booked in for Spring Break and, rather than take a taxi or limo are thinking of renting a car in Cancun so we can visit the Mayan ruins around Yucatan. Thus the need for parking.

Why not contact the resort directly.

Hi RABenko, and welcome to the group. I really like your avatar! It depicts my idea of paradise. Palms, sand, sun, ocean and comfortable nudity. Enjoy the discussions.

Never been to Hidden Beach (or any AI), but I've stayed along the coast there several times. I can't answer your question about parking, but I certainly would want a car. Too many things to do and places to go. (That's why I've never been to an AI)
At a guess, the rental won't be much more than the fare to and from the airport.

Did that. Got a nice answer but it was clear that the person who answered me didn't understand my question. I have been told that they are very nice people but the language issues can be most entertaining. I may try out my high school spanish but that is not likely to be any better...

James,
Looking forward to your trip report when you get back. We have somehow become our groups tour coordinators. We are going to Club Orient in June and now they want us to look into Hidden Beach for 2006 or late 2005.
Let us know what you find out, we've seen all the pictures and have friends that visited over a year ago but it would be great to hear from someone who's been there lately.

Having spent a blissful week at Hidden Beach last December, I can recommend it without hesitation. Very laid-back, non-swinger. We rented a car in Cancun, and found it useful for trips to Mayan ruins and cenotes. (Hint: go early in the morning before it gets brutally hot.) We left snorkelling gear in the car and had no problems with break-ins.

NaturistDoc,
Did you find navigating the roads and Hidden Beach easy to find and get to driving yourself from the airport to the resort?
How many of those cabana double padded lounges are there on the beach. Looks like a great place to get an afternoon nap!
Was the resort busy during your stay?
Thanks for answering our questions.

We need some opinions: Shouldn't Hidden Beach Resort be listing in our Adult/Romantic listings? Or is it more of a family destination?

From what I've heard from friends and aquaintances, that have stayed there, Hidden Beach Resort is an Adult/couples nudist resort and not for families, but there is no swinger element that is blatant.
We are seriously considering going to HBR in late Jan. early Feb 2006. We usually go to Palm Springs but our small group of 5-6 couples is thinking of expanding our horizons and going there instead.
