A nudist club that my wife and I were members of tried to keep persons with piercings and that shaved their pubic hair off from coming into the club. Nudist expect the outside world to except us as we are, but yet they try to dictate how we nudist must be when we come into the club. I would like to know what you all think about this.

I think it's b.s. I hate having hair down there, so I shave and trim.

I wouldn't even belong to that club. They don't seem to be very accepting of true nudity.

Many times ... we nudists can be our own worst enemy. I'm always amazed at how many nudists preach acceptance, spout the cliché " nudists are the friendliest people," the live and let live mantra ... but yet will get their towels in a bunch over shaving pubic hair, pierced body parts, tattoos, drinking ... and anything else that "they" don't do, that they think is wrong.
What happened to judging a person by their character and demeanor and not by how much body hair they have and where, whether or not they have piercings and where and whether or not they drink, exercise or go to church ...
It all seems so hypocritical to be, at times, and it just seems that "nudists" sometimes bash other "nudists" for some pretty silly things.

they must be rich most nudist camp/resort except the fancy one's struggle with money ,most are seasonal and have to make enough $$$$ to take care of the overhead. when i first experienced nudism at a resort/camp i would actually talk to the owner about his camp - very rustic and by how they lived you would think they were poor they lived in a doublewide mh and drove a used escort but he was living his dream. i always thought it would be cool to own a nudist camp but looked at the real picture i decided better but when these nudist resorts/camps turn people away they turn away $$. the one i use to belong to changed owners again and now they offer a summer deal - $50. a month unlimited visits what a deal. another camp a men club is $8. a visit you know they are hurting at these rates when another resort a little fancier is almost $50. for a day visit.

Quite frankly I don't really believe the original post here. Even the most family oriented clubs don't care about that sort of thing. Id be curious to know the name and location of this "supposed club" that did this.

It's possible ... but my post was aimed more at some "nudists" in general and not at this particular club. Ya gotta admit ... we even have those detractors here, and on other sites, that tend to argue the need, relevance or any reasons to shave pubic areas or be pierced.

True FP --but the initial poster did reference a specific club actually discriminating against those who were either shaved or pierced. Of course there is the contingent of people who are pro or con about such nonsense as shaving habits or piercings..but I doubt any actual club would be outright against it.
So this club that glock45 referred to would actually turn away a nudist family if the woman shaved her pubic hair. Or a couple that had a piercing or two..Doubtful and unlikely.

I don't doubt you're correct ... I was just stating the reasons for my post and where my thoughts were focused. I would like to know what club the OP is speaking of or if he won't give us the name ... at least the area/state/city ...

The OP sent me a private message with the name of the club they were referring to. I will not name it since he or she didn't do so here in the open thread. Ill leave it up to the OP to do that. What I will say is that this club is in a more conservative part of the country.
So let's just set the stage here: A nudist family wife, husband 2 small children(ie my own daughter and her family)pull up to this club. Car full of swim toys, cooler, etc. prepared for a day of fun in the sun. They get out of the car, pay a day pass or whatever, and proceed to the rec/pool area. Unload cooler, food, chairs, kids toys, kids themselves, and set up all of their stuff. They all tear off their clothes and prepare for a day of swimming, sunning and the like. Parents settle in on lounge chairs and kids run around like kids do....
BUT WAIT...When my oldest daughter takes her top off, a club worker notices she has piercings in her nipples! But it gets WORSE! When she takes her shorts off the worker notices she shaves off all of her pubic hair!!!!
So the club worker would go over to my daughter, her husband and their 2 children and say what? "Ummm ma'am you guys need to pack up your family and leave immediately , I noticed you shave too much and have a cpl of piercings"REALLY??
Hey, I'm not doubting the OPs facts here. I've never been to this particular club. Just hard to believe a club like that stays in business.

I was also sent a PM with the name of the club that the OP speaks of. I looked over their website and didn't see any mention of rules against "those" particular body adornments or grooming choices.
In the OP's defense ... in his original post he stated; "A nudist club that my wife and I were members of tried to keep persons with piercings and that shaved their pubic hair off from coming into the club."
Glock45 also went on to say, in his PM to me that many members "had tried" to get these rules passed but were unable. This leads me to believe that even with a club in a conservative part of the country ... they would need to really think about some of these rules before implementation ... or they would end up broke and closed down.

Sure makes sense.. But some of the most family oriented nudists shave and have piercings. I would love to hear the basis of excluding an individual for their shaving habits.

I would too. At our club ... it sure appears to be the shaved, pierced and tatted out number those that don't have at least one of those "modifications." I would find it difficult to believe ANY club would be so restrictive, then they would have only a dozen or so members and visitors and how would they be able to make it on that type of income.
I don't know that there are any non landed clubs that are that restrictive!

It will be interesting when someone from this forum attends the resort and reports how they are treated.

I did hear of a club in CA (several years back) that did not allow piercings---you could stay if you removed them. I highly suspect that policy is now history. As for shaving, ha, that's been around forever and I really don't see how a club could stay in business with such a policy. Plus, where do they draw the line: is "trimming" OK? Just not too short! LOL

Wow, piercings and shaving is sooo common nowadays, I couldn't imagine anywhere being opposed to it. That's the same for tattoos, hair styles, etc.
