All anyone can say is give it a try and see if you like it. It will grow back if you don't. My wife and I started out trimming, then more trimming and then shaving. We like it, but it's not for everyone.

I shaved for the first time a few months ago just to see what it would look like and how it would feel. I have to admit that I loved the look and it felt great. Never thought that would be the case. Gotta admit that I'm letting it grow back but can see myself doing it again in the future. My wife wasn't nearly as excited about it as I, but at least she didn't freak out!

it's what YOU like better. me, i have to keep my scrotum shaved and my pubic hair trimmed really really short, but for the rest of me, i have hair on my chest, stomach, arms, legs & ass. i shaved my chest & stomach once and couldn't stand it.

I assume therefore you do not save your face and let your beard grow totally. I cannot see what the difference is between choosing to shave a face or ones pubic area, armpits, or wherever. It is a matter of personal choice and is totally natural and acceptable.

I like the bare look. I don't have any hair from the neck down. Sometimes I wonder if it is worth the trouble.

I have shaved compleetly bald before including just recently. I like having no pubic hair. But the up keep
is a pain. So After a while i just let it grow back compleetly.I am not sure how much longer it wii stayed bald.

Unshaved for us men works for me. I like it, and it's completely natural, too. Nothing wrong with being natural!!
As for the women, hairy armpits iand pubic hair are more than fine, but I'm still having a problem with unshaved women's legs. Give me some time, who knows?

I've talked about hair removal, well, shaving, in other forums on this web site. As my moniker indicates, I am clean shaven, at least totally below my ribs, and have been for many years. Do it daily, usually evening shower after a hot tub.
The question raised here is a little different. Did I test the shaving idea before doing it regularly? Can't recall when I first shaved my pubic area, just 'many years ago'. A few times actually. Why? Curious as to what it would look like. Would I like it, would I be self-conscious, would I like the feel, etc.?
Those first few times, each several years apart, were a bit of a disaster. Cuts, razor burns, rashes, in-grown hairs, and initially, I didn't like the look.
About 20 years ago, for reasons explained elsewhere, I started progressive body shaving and pubic trimming, and maintained a complete tan year-round. I liked it, and found simple solutions to preventing skin irritation. My skin has become well conditioned to shaving. Glad to have persisted.
Intend to stay this way - smooth and tanned. Oh, by the way, I'm not even self-conscious about it! Must be my age......

I'm thinking about getting myself waxed as I have often admired the look on other women and it looks to be so clean and hygienic - it just seems the logical next step since clothes are now such an insignificant part in my life. I am not concerned about the pain (friends who have had it done say it is quick if you have it done properly) but I do have 2 reservations: (1) I will be left with a pale patch around my mary as i have a deep tan everywhere else (2.) Not sure what my girls will think, especially as Alice is now starting to grow pubic hair of her own and is feeling very grown up about it.
Any thoughts?

The answer is truly personal indeed,if one so chooses, it isn't preponderant to enjoying nudism or expected. It would be one's choice,some do and some don't. Is it better to be shaven? Those who do think so. Your choice!

I have decided to go for the waxing. I can get over the tan issue and I have spoken to the girls about what they think. Alice (the oldest) has no real opinion on the issue. Some of her friends already drastically trim or shave their pubes so she really doesn't mind what I do. Dulcie thought it was a great idea as she will look more like her mum. Consequently, I have an appointment for tomorrow with the beautician and May is coming along for moral support.
I am looking forward to my new look!

Good for you! I think you will enjoy the look and feel. It seems like the majority of n-r.org folks enjoy smoothness. It's nice to have your family agree also.
I'm not familiar with the waxing timeline. How long will it be before you have to do it again, or use some other method? Did you have any trouble finding a shop to do it?

Wow! what a buzz!
Had the waxing done and I feel sooooo smooth. It hurt like hell but was all over in a few minutes and now there's not a single hair from belly button to bumhole. The worst bit was the contortionism to get into the right positions to let the beautician reach some of those hairs in more inaccessible places. I'm used to being naked in public, but it was a bit odd lying naked on a bench with my legs apart and drawn up as another woman smooths a wax strip onto my labia.
I have come up red and a bit swollen but I love that silky skin feeling. I can see this being a regular thing.
Alice has seen the results and is as non-committal as yesterday. She says one of her classmates waxes and the swelling and redness will have subsided within 48 hours.

First public outing of my freshly waxed mound today. Redness has reduced and it now looks and feels as if I never had hair down there. I love it!
Dulcie, my youngest, has been telling everyone who will listen that her and mummy have matching minnies!
I spent yesterday by the pool but ventured to Risco del Paso beach today. As I took my pareo off, I felt a bit self-conscious about my genitalia being fully on view (I am a brunette and my bush used to partly hide me)but I drew little attention and set to tanning the slightly paler skin that used to hide beneath it.
By the time I went off a walk by the surf line (past the wet-suited wind surfers), I was walking tall, thinking, hell! this is my body and if I want to let the sun and wind caress me from head to toe without unnecessary hair getting in the way, the everybody better get used to it.
I have to admit to feeling so proud of my new look, I walked all the way back to the car before I covered up to drive home.
