We are a newly relocated couple (with a young daughter) to the Redding, California area and were wondering if someone could give us any information on nudist/naturist activities in our area. Thanks for any info you can provide.

Lisa & David, If you go to www.aanr.com and click on Regions & Clubs and then click on club listings and then click on CA, you'll see some in your area. I believe Olive Dell in Colton might be one of the closest. You can also go to www.naturistsociety.com and click on Naturist Network and insert CA under the state, you may come up with others.

I have nudist friends from Redding who are members of, and regularly visit, my home club, Laguna Del Sol, at Wilton, a few miles south of Sacramento. Laguna is one of the finest nudist resorts in the country, so it's well worth the drive from Redding. If you've never been there before, your first visit will be free.

I know the SF Bay Guardian used to annually publish a list of nude beaches in the area however you can buy a guidebook or do a google search and come up with something. Lake Tahoe on the Nevada side has a few nude beaches as well plus there are some nude or clothing optional hotsprings in the area however it would be best to purchase a guide book to locate them. Laguna Del Sol is your nearest resort and it is a beautiful big place. If you have a boat you could look into the lakes and rivers in your area as a possibility. Goodluck
