Hi everybody, Great nude beach at KM 75 on the N332 Alicante to Torrevieja. Going there in June ALSO I am looking for a B&B that has a nude culture and one can go nude. Know of any such let me know. The beach I spoke about is near a natural Park and a commercial camp site Go to the beach Turn Eastwards and you will hit the nude section.

I mean in cities, town, and public places loads of people can see you nude and they will probably be clothed.
It would take some serious courage to walk around nude in public. Besides with most towns/cities have Cameras and imagine the security guy seeing the person nude they recorded it.
So it would be nice to walk legally in a town, or city nude where you no longer have to worry about wearing clothes but with the laws, and embarrassment no one will attempt that.
Also everyone in that city, and perverts would be able to look at your private parts, and breasts (if your a women).
Cheers!
PS: I'm not against public nudity, It's just the law, and does anyone have the courage for public nudity.
True: It would take serious courage to walk around nude in public (if the law allowed it) when it is not the norm but a lot of "Taken for granted" social freedoms were gained exactly that way and in some cases by civil disobedience.
If you could be the person who breaks the ice, you'd probably find that a few other people would think this was a great idea then over a period of time, it would gain enough traction to become "fashionable". This brings me to the idea of perverts staring at your "private parts". Our "private" parts are only that becuase society's norms and values deem them so. Perverts are deviants, nudists also in such a situation are deviants (some members of society associate nudism with perversion anyway). Deviance is deviance in relation to the norms of the society in which the deviance occurs. What this means is that if public nakedness became mainstream, the perverts would get bored with it all - the thrill disappears or they find some other manifestation for their perversion. This of course is all hypothetical because apart from the two naturist enclaves mentioned here, I don't know anywhere in the world where the law allows unrestricted public nakedness.
Pete and others have mentioned the legal situation in Spain. There are a few places in the world (New Zealand among them) where the legal status of public nakedness is "Not Illegal". "Not Illegal" does NOT mean "Legal". As Pete said, it depends on the situation in which the nakedness happened as to whether it is deemed okay and this is determined by test cases. In practice if the authorities want to throw the book at you, they can do it via a whole raft of other laws and bylaws - public nuisance, disorderly behaviour etc. What they call it varies from place to place but the situation is basically the same. In practice, it means that if you want to test a "not illegal" situation, you need to be prepared in some cases, for a protracted fight that can involve multiple appeals amounting to big money.
I have very thick skin so going nude in public actually wouldn't worry me too much but I don't have the money to challenge the not-illegality of it and being a public stirrer would probably result in my being deemed 'unsuitable' for a whole range of jobs. It's not worth the risk.

The Spanish are very hot on etiquette and really look down on you if you get it wrong. Nudity is not illegal, but it will very quickly be explained to you if you are not appropriately dressed.
For example in cities, even in the middle of summer, men do not wear shorts.
The general rule for nudity on beaches is that it's fine so long as there are no buildings on the seafront. In the right place the Spanish seem to think being naked isn't a big deal. The beach we visit most often is Calblanque near Murcia. It is one of the most beautiful beaches on the Mediterranean, very quiet, mostly Spanish and on a nature reserve. It's not an official nudist beach, but you would feel very out of place with clothes. (My avatar is taken there)
An example of the Spanish casual approach to nudity, is that at about 2pm a rush office workers (mostly female) turn up in suits, strip off, have a swim, a walk to dry off, a packed lunch, get dressed again and head back to work. (They bring large bottles of fresh water to rinse off)
As with most things Spanish there is a formality to everything, including how being naked should be done. The legality is largely irrelevant.

We just had guests to stay at our B&B who had a great time "Off roading" We live in the Montgo national park by the sea and it is possible to walk the trails without meeting anyone despite the fact we are very close to the busy tourist areas. Textile tourists are around the beaches and bars.
