Would you or wouldn't you post an avatar using a personal picture? Why or why not? Do you feel that a personal picture post adds anything and what is it you feel it adds? I have pictures posted on different sites. I'm interested how others feel about this subject. I have stated my opinion in another area on this forum. I'm just looking for the opinion of other members.

Yeah, I would post a picture of myself here as an avatar. I have on other nudist sites. I think it's nice to see who it is you're talking with. I don't think posting a picture adds anything to what you post. There are several here that don't have a picture of themselves and I've become friends with them because of what they have to say, what we've talked about via PM's and their take or philosophies about certain issues relevent to naturism.
I haven't posted a picture here only because I've just forgotten to. I have many pictures of me clothed, nude, nude and cropped so it's not that I don't have any or don't want to post one, just one of those things I'll get around to in the near future.
I was hesitant in the beginning, posting a picture of myself on a nudist message board. It just so happens that almost everyday, someone new finds out we are nudists. So, having my picture on those message boards that I frequent wouldn't bother me. My wife, on the other hand, isn't ready to have her face displayed yet. Maybe she'll come around, maybe she won't, it doesn't make her any less a nudist than one who's got there picture everywhere.

Are you just stating an opinion or replying to my previous post?

I prefer messeging/talking with someone if they have a photo. If someone is somewhat shy they could always give their photo a slight blur. I prefer to use a photo when I can, some sites don't allow it though. I think it's like wearing a mask if you don't use your own photo, I wouldn't wear a mask at the beach, so why hide online or where-ever? I try to use my own photo whenever possable for my Avatar.
My thoughts.. "This is me like it or hate it. God made me this way and I'm happy with the way He made me, as imperfect as I am, This is me!".

When I find a good picture of myself I will submit it for posting. There is a lack of female pictures on this site, that is a shame. It almost seems like it is okay for males to be openly nude but not females. I'm not sure why this is. I enjoy nudity as much or maybe more then my husband.

LOL, it sure does! God commanded Isaiah to go nude for 3 years. I think he was one of the first nude preachers.

As Guy said above....

At the same time spake the LORD by Isaiah the son of Amoz, saying, Go and loose the sackcloth from off thy loins, and put off thy shoe from thy foot. And he did so, walking naked and barefoot.
You can switch between versions if you are not comfortable reading the King James

I agree with you. I think more women should post some type of picture. If you look through most forum sites, one would get the impression only men are nudists.

I think that fundamental survival strategy makes women more cautious than men. Women bear children, men don’t. There are substantial differences in the area of the brain involved in decision making, men are more narrow minded, also less important in genetic survival.
Being a narrow minded male, I await Sue and Sheree posting nude avatars!

Here's a perfect example of why women don't post nude avatars...

Not knowing you or how you participate in nudity, nurserobin, I must say I find your remark some what confusing. Except for skinny dipping there is no activity that nudist cannot do clothed. The fact we do all these things in the nude, would speak to the fact that there is the element of seeing and being seen. Jim 19452 is assuming Sue, I or any other female is going to post a nude avatar. Wishful thinking. Not the most refined post. I do not see the same type of comments in the other males posts. We females have a right to enjoy the nude life style as much as any male, without harassment. I have not, and I will not let, what I see as a minority detract from my enjoyment and nor should you. To you Jim 19452, show a little class. If all your here for is to show off your nude body and look at females in the nude, there's other sites for you.

Sharee - First you state that my comment is somewhat confusing then you end by telling Jim to show a little class and that perhaps this isn't the site for him which is exactly why I made my comment - so now I'm confused. My statement was towards him the same as yours - not to the respectful males that post...but the fact that anybody visits this forum, not just respectful nudist males, is also my point about why women don't post nude avatars...

I guess what I'm saying is, I don't let remarks like these influence my enjoyment of the nudist life. Anyone and everyone can not do things in life, because ______________ fill in the blank. Whether you choose to post an avatar is a personal decision, but it should be based on your own reasons. Basing it on remarks like this is an excuse not to do it. It's not a personal reason. I find it confusing when people give me excuses, not reasons and feelings they have. And yes my thought process did wander off to Jim. I hate the fact so many women are standing in the shadows. They let things like this get the better of them.

You know, you can choose any type of image you'd like to represent you, and it doesn't have to be your photo. Just don't use someone else's photo!
Upload a sunset, your favorite pet picture, a rose, etc.
Even with your email function turned on, your email address is invisible until you reply.
If you do choose to use a facial photo for your avatar, just let us know if you get any unwanted sexual solicitations, and we'll take care of it. There are only well behaved people here, ladies.
