Can a married man attend alone when the wife is not interested?

Depends on the venue. Some clubs allow it and some don't. Some club allow it but have quotas. Those that do have a quota of single men per day usually allow single guys more during the weekdays than weekends. If they've already reached that quota of men visiting alone, they will turn away others.
Many clubs and resorts are finding that the "couples" model works best for their business. When there are too many men to women ratios, the women and couples don't want to visit. Right, wrong, indifferent ... that's what seems to work for nude clubs and resorts and they are in this to make money and stay open, not to please every one that wants to visit.
Here in Southern California, there are two clubs/resorts that I believe will allow you to visit alone but usually during the week only. Looks like you're not local to us so this probably isn't helping you. Beaches are also an option but you may not have one close to you.
Apologies ... I shouldn't type/respond to questions very early or very late in the evening ... I don't even make sense to myself! LOL

It really does depend on the venue like FP says Mike. Best bet is to call first. Being a member of AANR or some other naturist organization helps as well. Some clubs will want to meet both you and your wife before hand to make sure the spouse is onboard with you attending alone. Good luck in your search. Rob

To add to free2b and FP's input, there are resorts and clubs that allow it, but only with a signed waiver/authorization from your spouse, and AANR membership. That implies that your wife would have to be willing to "sign off" on it. I've had to go through it once. Getting the wife to agree to AANR membership, who was not a social nudist at the time and had no interest in becoming an "official" nudist, took quite a bit of convincing.
For married men who try to keep their wife "out of the loop"; well that's usually harder to do.

I’ve visited several nude clubs as a single (widowed) guy. There have been only two that didn’t want my business. One didn’t allow pets and the other didn’t allow single guys. In each case I called or emailed first, so I wasn’t inconvenienced. I figure that if they don’t want me and my dog then they’re probably not running the kind of place I want to visit, so I don’t really have a problem with their discrimination. It’s a matter of personal freedom. They ought to be free to run their business any way they want.

Not only harder but not a wise way to go. I’ve read posts from guys who were sneaking out to go to either a beach or resort without their spouse knowing. They might get away with it but there would be hell to pay if the spouse found out I’m sure...at least I know how my wife would react. I’m just glad that my wife is supportive. I know she would sign a release form if needed.

I thought the same thing but tried anyway and found the two places I spoke of and visited without my wife. My reasons were more "recon" then anything else. Like our nude beach, I checked it out first to see if my wife would feel comfortable visiting. Not sure of your situation but I went home, told her about these places and she asked lots of questions and soon after, agreed to check them out.
Nothing's easy. You'll never know until you do a little research, make some phone calls and ... visit.

Yes...don’t give up yet Mike. Your profile says you are retired, so go check out a CO beach. It’s a little bit of a trek for you but plan a trip to Gunnison beach in NJ. I feel that beaches are easier to start with and no restrictions about attending alone or if like me and my wife...she keeps her bathing suit on and we both enjoy the beach.

Ditto. My married solo experience was driven by "recon" reasons as well; and I wanted to meet in person some nudists I had met online. My then-wife got hung up on signing off on becoming an AANR member; but she eventually did. After I relayed my experience to her and how friendly those people were, she eventually agreed to come meet them with me. The "rest is history", as they say; as not only did she enjoy meeting them, but she embraced being socially nude with them.
My soon-to-be wife signed off on my naturist activities a long time ago. She didn't come with me to Mazo (while it was still open), but she was comfortable with me going solo. I "came out" as a nudist to my GF while we'd just started dating.
If you can't go "full disclosure" with your spouse, the nude beach is in fact easier. But I think honesty is still the best policy. If your spouse is totally opposed to you trying nudism, I'm not sure what the best course of action is for you...

how does your wife feel about it? try seeing things as if your wife was attending alone, how would you feel about that? would you be comfortable with it? if so then go! if not then figure out what the hesitation is about

Although my comment herein is purely anecdotal, there are three nudist resorts near me, none of which keep tabs on the ratio of the sexes. You just sign in, and you're okayed to use the resort, if you're single or accompanied.
The same thing could be said for nude beaches near me, but that would nonsensical of me.

Being that there are no nudist resorts or beaches in Alaska, I do not have the issue of a married man attending. I could see that if there was any here, that I might be in the same situation as others, with the wife not wanting to go. I am kind of lucky in that I do have friends that do enjoy the nudist life style and they are OK with me being out there. Would be nice if my wife was of the same mind set, but she was brought up more main stream and does not embrace the life style as I do. That is OK, just makes for some interesting times! I do enjoy getting out for hikes and spending as much time outside as I can. The long summer day are nice. Just waiting for them to return!
