With the advent of drones, your very private backyard where you spend time nude, may not be private from the vertical dimension. Although it's unlikely you'll be on camera, you never know.

It should be legal to shoot down any drone over your own property. However this reminds me of a time I was lounging naked at a hot spring. We noticed some gawker hiding in a nearby woods with a big lens camera. I stood up, looked right at him, and waved. He folded his camera and left.
I'm not much worried about drones, surveillance cameras, game cameras, etc. that have become ubiquitous almost everywhere. Lets be realistic, if you are out and about naked you are going to be seen, and probably photographed. Everyone carries a cell phone camera. If I really cared about being seen as a human being I would cover myself with laundry. I don't care, and I expect to be seen. Being seen is actually good. Let them drone on.
Naked is green.

I have to agree that "I" am not worried about drones and I strongly agree that I should be able to shoot any drone down over my property but my reasons would be that, that drone is keeping my wife from living as she prefers. She's not as open to allowing some voyeur drone to fly over and ignore it. It would probably keep her from relaxing outside again.
I wonder if you had a BB gun or Pellet gun/rifle if simply pointing it at the drone, that the owner would vacate the area for fear you'll shoot at his investment. That might be a deterrent!
But for me ... I don't care. Once they get a look at me outside naked ... I suspect they'll move on to more suitable pastures!
Loves being naked. Plays well with others!

I do not disagree. Drones are starting to be and will become a major problem and at the very least an annoyance. The problem with shooting them out the sky is that a number of people have already been arrested for doing just that. It's not really the shooting of the drone but the discharge of a firearm, wanton endangerment, and criminal mischief etc. The other concern that has been raised about people doing so is if they use a rifle instead of a shotgun as the bullets do come back down and people have been killed with people shoot into the sky.
In California they recently had to ground air tankers from dropping water on some forest fires because idiots were flying drones over the fire causing danger for the aircraft.

Also in British Columbia and I suspect the Okanogan fire in Washington. That's not just a nuisance, it is criminal (in Canada) and police are looking for the offender(s).

Last summer, while at a nude beach in Santa Cruz, we twice (different drone each time) had a drone come over the cliff and hover. The easy solution was to get fully under the umbrella until it left, although one of our female friends jumped up and gave it the finger salute with both hands. The drone left soon afterwards.
Drones are now a fact of life. As for shooting them down, I'd suggest using a slingshot or paintball gun. As others have stated, using a firearm in a populated area will get you in trouble and/or possibly injure someone.

I like the slingshot idea! I used to have a type of slingshot that we called a wrist rocket that had a handle and a bar that goes over the wrist with very nice latex bands. Very powerful and pretty accurate.

In our area a helo comes by and takes HD pics of boats underway. You can order the pics for about $550 a pop. One came by and took a few pics while I was sailing. Last time it was so detailed that you could almost read the time on my watch.
I just waved but I'm not paying those prices.....

Your own back yard is an issue, although in the UK there have been cases of warring neighbors setting up CCTV pointing across the fence and there seems to be no law against it. In public I don't think you can really expect not to be photographed. Everybody carries a camera these days. On a public beach you will be photographed most days. Anyway all but the most expensive professional drones have cameras that would need to be very close to get a detailed photo.
