Greetings and Salutations,

I am having a hard time, convincing myself that naturism is anything less than exploitation. To be blunt.

If adults want to do the nude thing, then fine by me. But I am having serious difficulty in believing Naturism is anything other than exploitation when it comes to the children.

Realistically speaking, we all know what an evil world this is, and how its spiraling down the drain, how can you protect your children at at these Naturist places.

Serving them up on a platter, whether by their beliefs, or your beliefs, you are still exposing them to a cruel and harsh world.

And lets talk about these places online, [7 examples deleted], that manufacture and record events and sell them to worldwide millions, do the people who buy these truly coincide with the Naturist Expression of Freedom, or is it singularly for the viewing of Nude Men, Women, boys and girls that attracts them to purchase these products?

I mean no offense to anyone, who is a declared Nudist/Naturist. I personally don't think I will ever understand what it is about Naturism that is so appealing to many, other than serious exploitation of children, that needs to be nipped in the bud.

Good call. This does seem trollish.

As far as removing the thread, in some cases, like this one, the poster manages to express a feeling shared by some few who encounter family nudism. The members' well thought out answers are the reasons we allow such threads to occasionally remain.

We'll see if he returns to engage in further discussion. If not, well, I think you called it.

The original poster joined this website on 10/11/'10. It says he's posted twice but there is only one post that I can find.

He's not been back to argue his reasons or answer questions which brings me to this...was he just a troll here to try and stir things up?

If so...why do we keep threads like this on here? The rest of us aren't going to argue with someone that hasn't bother to return in over two weeks and we all don't agree with his statements so....why not delete this thread and keep unsubstanciated and negative threads on a site that is trying to show naturism in a postive light?

Milanis, It is about going places and doing things with your children.

Happy Nuding.

I usually don't get involved in meaningful discussions on boards because it's so easy to go overboard...but.

1. Yes, there is evil in the world. Everywhere. Clothed and naked. Exposing your kids to ANYTHING potentially exposes them to a cruel and harsh world. Nudist parents, like any parents, need to be diligent about protecting their kids.

2. Children being naked is not wrong. Exploiting children, naked or clothed, is wrong. The key is to focus on those that exploit children, and those that prey on it. Focusing on the nudist community misses the point.

3. Being a nudist is appealing for a number of reasons. I think there is an entire thread devoted to that very topic. If you can't understand why it's appealing, I feel sorry for you. And maybe this isn't the best forum for you.

...and according to your "profile" you were a naturist from '91-'96??? For 5 years and you..."will never understand what it is about naturism that is so appealing to many..."

You're obviously upset about something that happened to you or someone you know personally. I do know you have the right to your opinion but I don't feel you can make a blanket statement about naturism and that we can't protect our children at these Naturist places.

I've personally taken my grandkids to the beach and to a resort and not only did we ensure their safety...so did many of our friends that we meet there annually. We're not the only ones that have had this type of genuine help and support when children are present and it's not fair to generalize Naturism as explotation against children.

Raises an interesting question of supervision of kids at resorts and them wanting a level of freedom to play.

I don't think a nude beach where the kids are with the parents would create the opportunities a resort might. While having kids see that the human body is a wonderful thing and not to have hang-ups about it has significant merit the concern over exploitation is valid at resorts and maybe the beach too.

My kids have not accompanied me to a nude beach even when really young. I think I would let them make their own minds up about attending a beach or resort when they are adults.

I have not attended a resort and while I have considered this with my wife I have researched the ones that do not accept children. The reason is for my comfort and that of my wife.

Others will disagree but it is a sensitive topic and personal views should be respected.

You'll notice that we do not allow linking to any of these types of websites, where there is featured exploitation of nude people or especially children. You are referring to businesses that make money from selling or trading nude photos, which we do not support.

Someone will probably tell you how protective nudists are of children at nudist resorts, where anyone showing unwanted attention to someone else's children is always suspect and monitored.
