I spend most of my time traveling for my business. It's shirt, suit, and tie with my customers, but as soon as I hit the hotel room, the clothes fly off! Anyone else out there practice nudism on the road? Any fun experience along the way?

Went and picked up our motorhome from Camping World about an hour south of us. Got there, paid, got into the coach and stripped. My wife followed me home in her car but I was naked and enjoying practicing my nudism on the road, driving the motorhome!

Considering he's the Fireprof, perhaps devil's horns (it IS close to Halloween!) would be more 'suit'able?

Haha, I'm always surprised to hear when people don't like pineapple on pizza. I'm a Hawaiian pizza addict. Dominos used to have one called a Fiery Hawaiian. Basically the same as a normal Hawaiian except it had Tabasco sauce or something similar on it. God it was good.

I like to be nude in our hotel room on vacation but recent trips have involved countries where public nudity is either frowned upon or uncommon so balcony time is out. Need to pick those countries better maybe.

Cheers, SBN.

Just returned from a weeklong trip with textile friends, up the Central Coast of California. Our nudism was confined to our room and luckily, a balcony at our second destination, that overlooked a cemetery. I don't think the deceased cared if I was naked or not but surprisingly there were more people walking around the cemetery, looking at headstones, than I would have thought. I had to pick my out door nudity wisely.

Lost me at the hawaiian pizza. I grew up with mates of Italian heritage, pineapple is not a real pizza topping. Minimal toppings, almost nude you could say. SBN.

I don't travel too often, but when I do:

Order Hawaiian pizza from Dominos to be delivered to the hotel > take shower > wear clothes long enough to pay pizza delivery person > clothes off rest of the night.

I was at a hotel last month. I went naked out to the balcony every day at least once, usually several times. I like to be naked in my room and always go out to the hallway naked at least once at every hotel. If their hot tub is not crowded I'll go naked there too. I've never had complaints.

Naked is green.

"Practicing nudism on the road" has a whole different meaning to me/us and to many others on this site that have commented on driving naked, as well.

We are nudists. We live this way almost every minute of every day we possibly can. We're naked at home unless someone is coming over that is not a nudist or we have to leave the house. We extend our nudist life to our vehicles (motorhome included) and once we arrive at our destination, if it be a hotel room, we get naked and remain naked while in that hotel room. On occasion, we will have to slip on some "quick clothes" for a visit from family or friends, or a trip to the ice machine or front desk.

We always slip something on when room service, housekeeping or maintenance comes to our room. It's just a courtesy, but I have been caught naked a couple of times and it wasn't intentional, nor did the visit from housekeeping or maintenance make a big deal out of it.

So ... practicing nudism on the road, for us is no different than how we live at home. If we do stay with family or friends that are not nudists, we make adjustments and remain clothed until bedtime but ... since that has happened a few times, we now insist on just staying at nearby hotels/motels where we can be naked as much as possible.

I often find that the A/c in hotel rooms is either way too warm or way too cold. If the room is too cold we turn the a/c off and use the ambient outside temp and then the clothes come off for me anyway. If it's winter the heater goes on and the clothes come off. Guess it 's an excuse to get naked. We were travelling in a few asian countries last year and just turned the a/c off every time, even my wife who is not that keen on nudity joined in, well mostly.

We always ask for a room on an upper floor even if it's just a two or three story hotel. I always drive around the hotel before checking in and scope out the best side to be on; away from traffic noise and facing parking lots instead of adjacent buildings.

I do this so we can freely roam about our room in the state of undress, which is normal for us, and have the window drapes and sheers wide open. Some rooms also have balconies and I always ask for rooms that will maximize our nude use of those balconies. Most times I get what I ask for, once in a while they are unable to accommodate so we just adjust.

We just spent close to a week in a hotel adjacent to a theme park. We were in a room on the 6th floor, corner room, facing a busy intersection but no other buildings close to that high within a few blocks from us. We had to deal with noise for a short while but having that freedom to have all the window coverings open and being able to walk freely without worry about anyone seeing is just like being at home.

We have a favorite hotel we visit quite often near the ocean/bay. We almost always get a room facing the marina and we always open the drapes and sheers, the sliding glass doors and occasionally we are lucky enough to get the one room that allows us to use that balcony naked any time of day or night without any worry about anyone seeing us. We always ask for that room but don't always get it.

I work at a hotel. I cannot count the number of times I've had to take either room service or toiletries up to people in their rooms, and they do the "hide behind the door" dance. As I am not offended by nudity, I find it amusing, but also perplexing... you knew I was coming, so you could have either chose to cover up, or chose not to, but don't hide behind the door...My favorite is when people order room service ahead of time, and tell us when to bring it, but act surprised when we show up at said time...

I have seen my share of people getting locked out of their rooms for sleep walking, or whatever reason, and don't bat an eye at what they are, or are not wearing when they come to ask for a key, and figure that they're clearly not trying to break into a room if they're in a state of undress, so just the name will suffice.

I did get a call several years ago from a guest saying they thought someone had peed on their door, so I went up to investigate, and when I turned the corner, met a naked man, who just gave me a nod, and kept walking. After I figured out that it was urine in front of their door, I went to chase him down, and bring him back to his room. I believe that he was drunk, and/or disoriented, and thus relieving himself on someone else's door. I felt especially bad when management charged him a cleaning fee to clean the carpet.

I still remember him fondly whenever I walk by that room.

And for those curious, in my particular hotel, there are only cameras on the public (lobby and basement) levels, nothing on the guest floor, if that helps ease your minds about walking to get ice without bothering to get dressed.

At home, in a hotel or at family or friends house, I sleep nude. At home or in a hotel I am nude as much as possible. Family or friends I will wear a pair of shorts and possibly a T-shirt since no one in my family or circle of friend know about my being a nudist. If anyone finds out and accepts it will be another place to enjoy nudity. If they find out and do not accept then the shorts stay on.

A couple months ago I was at a Best Western hotel. After dinner I decided to get some ice, and being naked in my room that meant getting ice naked. It was down 2 flights of stairs to the ice machine, but my room was near the stairs. I opened the door and stepped out into the hall, and found myself face to face with 2 men going into a room farther down. Oops. I backed up and closed my door. After 15 minutes nobody from management had called with a complaint so I peeked out carefully, and then went downstairs to the NOISY ice machine. I didn't notice anyone that time.

About 10:30, after a couple drinks, it was time to hit the hot tub. I put on a swim suit and some shorts and T for my trip through the lobby and headed out. When I arrived at the pool room some guy was adjusting the furniture, probably a manager. I left my swim suit on getting into the hot tub. He soon left so my suit came off, hot tubbing in a suit is stupid. I soaked for about half an hour and since I was getting overly warm I wondered how the swimming pool was. I stood up naked, ignoring both the video "security" with the screen by the front desk, and the windows to the manager's office with shades closed. A check with my toe told me that the pool temp was too cold for me so I figured it was time to dry off and go back to my room.

I was standing there naked, drying off with one of their towels, when some staff female came into the pool room. She came over and told me that the pool closed at 11 PM. It was now 11:15. I offered that I was just leaving. She suggested I come back when the pool oenes again at 7 AM. She didn't mention that I was naked, and apparently expected me to return naked the next morning. I did that, and left my swim suit in my room.

Thinking back on my experience, they had a lot of empty rooms that night. The hotel business, especially at some older hotels, is not a boom times. They have to do as much as possible to attract and keep customers. They don't want to turn any paying customer away and will accomodate almost any behavior that doesn't cause a huge disturbance for other guests. My guess is that hotel management isn't going to complain to guests, even naked guests running about, if they can avoid it. There may be exceptions, but driving away guests is bad for business.
