Here’s a good question for everyone. Which Movies and TV shows do you think portray nudity in a positive light? And why in your opinion.

I can think of the following:

Movies

Sheena - The way that “Sheena” is at ease with her nudity almost as if she doesn’t realize that she is nude.
Beastmaster - The way that the “slaves” are enjoying a bath in the “river” or whatever body of water that it is that they’re in.
Altered States - Just the general acceptance of the human body.
The Abyss - Towards the end when they’re trying to save the life of female member of the crew who allowed herself to drown so that she and her husband could get back to the base.
Starship Troopers - The shower room scene where everyone is telling why they joined the Mobil Infantry.
10 - Because of the innocent way that the young Bo Derek is comfortable with her nudity. Question is Ms Derek IRL a nudist?
Swordfish - Halle Berry’s topless scene w/Hugh Jackman. Even though Hallie has said in interviews that she considered it to be “gratuitous,” she said that she did it because she felt that that is how her character would have behaved.
To me IF her character was comfortable enough in her own skin NOT to be embarassed to be seen by someone else then it isn’t/wasn’t “gratuitous.”

TV

Malcolm in the Middle - The pilot episode where his mother answers the door without first putting on a shirt or blouse or in trying to cover up the fact she isn’t wearing any sort of top.
Eight is Enough - When the father took the youngest son to the “Y” to teach him how to swim, and they walk out of the locker room to the pool area nude, only to find out that nudity isn’t allowed at the “Y” anymore.
The commercial (I can’t remember what they’re selling) where the woman goes into her closet looking for something to wear to the party that she’s hosting, and she walks out to the party wearing only a pair of black shoes.
The Subaru/Suzuki commercial where the woman gets into an elevator and changes out of her work clothes and into her exercise clothes.

Sadly, other then the above mentioned shows/commercials I really can’t think of too many that have shown nudity in a positive or even semi-positive light.

I’ve noticed that nudity in movies seems to be disappearing. Back in the 80s it became a thing to show female breasts all the time. But nowadays you rarely see nudity in movies. I see it more on tv than I do in movies. Many shows are starting to show more and more. Most of it is just bare asses, but it’s nice to see it becoming more common. Also, it’s not gratuitous like it was in the 80s.

Nudity runs rampant in Game of Thrones! Especially Season 1! It was a really good series. We'll watch it again!

I don’t know how many of you have seen the show “Naked Attraction” on UK television Channel 4?

http://www.ladbible.com/entertainment/film-and-tv-channel-4s-naked-attraction-is-looking-for-2019-contestants-20190104

Basically, it has a dating game show format. One “romantic hopeful” chooses somebody to go on a date with from six people in color-coded pods. The twist is that the “contestants” in the pods are all nude and are revealed in three stages: bottom half to waist, then up to shoulders, and finally the face. At each stage, one contestant is sent home. Only after the face is revealed are the remaining four contestants allowed to speak. When the choice is down to two, the “romantic hopeful” also “gets their kit off” and makes a final choice. Throughout the process, there is chatting about the comparative attractiveness of contestants' feet, thighs, chests, penises, vulvas, buns, tummies, shoulders, tatoos and such, with polling statistics, closeup zooms and supporting scientific info. Over four seasons, nearly all body types and types of “naked attractions” from straight to LBGTQ have been represented.

I find the "Naked Attraction" show interesting in three respects. Firstly, it cheerfully ignores the entire nudity taboo, instead turning it on its head into mainstream tv game show – with both physical genders getting nonchalant equal treatment and assessment. The impact is to give the public a full-dose of public nudity as just one aspect of human interaction, attractiveness and potential mating. Secondly, everyone involved seems to find the experience instructive and liberating. Finally, and most amusingly, it teaches a lesson that all us nudists could have told them – that seeing someone naked doesn’t change or help all that much in determining compatibility as romantic, sexual, friend or life partners. Each segment follows the new couple on their date and then has them back after a few weeks – the success rate is distinctly similar to "normal" dating. So much for the artifice of fabric and the nude taboo!

I sent a message to the site owner. If he wants it removed, he'll do that soon.

Just discovered this. Adam looking for Eve. Naked dating where they show everything (no blurring). Not sure if it is Dutch or German. I understand you get booted off the show by telling you to "get dressed".

Not so much on TV, but on the internet, YouTube in particular. Lately when I go to watch a video on there, there is a Hotwire advertisement. A man is just about to get hit by a bus when suddenly he opens his eyes and he's on a nude beach. Of course they strategically cover everyone up, but it says something along the lines of "since you're not dead, you can search for your next trip to a nude beach".

There is a new series recently called "Last Man on Earth." Despite the name they now have 2 men and 4 women.

If you were the "last man on earth" how long would it take to get naked?

Since the police are out of town, would you get dressed when someone else shows up?

Naked is green.

There is a show on WGN called Salem, which is about the Puritan times in Salem, Massachusetts and the witch trials. They show a bit of nudity on there. They will show fully exposed asses, and if they show a woman topless, her hair will be covering her breasts.

I have seen many episodes of Buying Naked and none were outside of a naked community. Doesn't mean there hasn't been one, but it's got to be rare.

Thus, showing their ignorance of what nudism is about.
