when you go camping do you prefer a tent, tent camper, hard shell, 5 th wheel or land yacht or a sleeping bag under the stars. ok primative or every bell and whistle known to man loaded in that motor coach that get 2.2 miles to the gallon.

Jimmie we were at the Cove last weekend and shared the hot tub with a group that were going to be at Parrot Head this weekend. It sounds like a fun time.

What type of unit are you camping in and can you tell us more about the sites, what's provided, where they are in relation to the office, pool, etc.

I visited CC once several years ago. It was cloudy and cool and I did walk around a little but because the weather was so crappy, I spent most of my time in Cheeks. Met some nice people.

We currently have a 35 foot travel trailer with 3 slides...very comfortable! The sites at Cypress Cove are pretty nice. Most are Full Hook Ups with water and electric sections. We always opt for a FHU site as we have good nudist friends that always go with us. When I arrived last Wednesday, they gave one of their sites in the back row the farthest away as we could be from the pool. It actually worked out pretty well as the temps were in the upper 90's all weekend and the trailer stayed pretty cool with the trees that are located in the back. Actually a nice walk to the pool - that was PACKED in might add!!! Cheeks always has great food and drink although for Parrot Head Weekend, their menu was kind of limited. I've attached a couple of shots of the camp ground that I got on my morning naked bike ride.

My wife and I travel to a lot of resorts in our motor home and love it. In Sept we will be at - - - in Palm Springs and in Oct. we will be at Shangri Li in Arizona. We are on the road for seven months.

For years I have felt safe in our mountains, Washington state. However of late we now have wolf packs roaming the forests, and brown bears have become more aggressive (perhaps because of wolves). An experienced camper from Montana advised me that a large caliber hand gun or rifle is essential in bear and wolf country. I carried a Winchester carbine when camping in Alaska a few years ago. Even the Canadians allow guns in areas where wild animals can be a problem and have a special exemption from law that otherwise prohibits keeping loaded arms handy.

Now I sometimes, but not always, carry a .45 on my solo excursions into the back country. Just being safe.

Naked is green.

My wife would rather I just leave the guns at home ... I wish I could be that confident that nothing will ever happen but I'd like to have some backup if it ever did. I shot firearms in the military. I've shot many different types of firearms in the last 10 years of these trips we've taken to Death Valley with my previous co workers. I feel confident around some firearms but not all. I would definitely take any and all training classes provided before or right after I decided to purchase a hand gun.

I have shot combat pistol in the military, done some competitive shooting, hunted big game with a hand gun and am an NRA pistol instructor. I do not go any place up here without at least one hand gun. Depending on where we are camping, I also have my 45-70 carbine for the times that a hand gun is not the correct tool. If I can figure out how to post pictures, I will post some of the shooting this weekend. Yes we had a great weekend. I do not worry about others showing up, but my wife has other thoughts.

I'd like for the Prof and I to do a bit of dry camping, in our motorhome (she'll never go back to tent or tent trailer camping), out in Death Valley. It's an awesome place to spend days naked and exploring, hiking, 4x4ing ... not too many people around and those that are, don't care if you're naked ... even the rangers!

I'm not a paranoid kinda guy but I am cautious and I always carry my 22g rifle but would feel a little safer with a hand gun, for protection only. I used the 22 rifle for target practice a few times. Now on these annual trips, I put it in the motorhome and take it out when I get home without firing a bullet. I suspect that owning a hand gun would be much that same but having that ability to protect ourselves, while out there away from everything and anyone, would make me feel better. Be a lot better if I could convince our close friends to join us! Strength in numbers and who in their right mind would mess with 4 naked, crazy people!

We had the chance to do a little 'camping' as we call it in our motor home. We know of a spot that is about 1/2 mile off the road the seldom sees anyone come in. Being that this is an out of the way place, I was able to enjoy being nude all weekend, four days worth! This place is not real fancy, it fact it is and old construction gravel pit. The weather was very good, sunny with the temps in the mid 70's. Being that we were at 3000' it made the sun feel a little hotter. Enjoyed doing some hiking, reading and did a lot of target shooting! Hated to have to put cloths on to come home.

Here is Alaska, there is not a lot of the really nice camp grounds that one finds in the 'lower 48'! We also have no CO camp grounds. Having said that, we do have areas that one can camp in that have few people. We have gone from the sleeping in the back of our trucks, tent camping to where we are now. We have a 38' class A, that does have all of the comforts of home! We have places that we can get in to, old construction camps and gravel areas that we can be nude most of the time. I always look forward going to a couple of these and spending time enjoying being nude!
