Here is another place, Noclothes - Laguna Del Sol, southeast of Sacramento, and is closer to Redding than Alpenglow, but not as attractive. Just thought of this place right now.

Their website is:

Is there a way to search for members by state? I have looked but cannot find any. A site I used to belong to allowed you to search members by city, state and country, age etc. You could also narrow your search down to a mileage radius.

I second the motion.

If you must discuss the Unwanted Erection, or anything related to it, please add your comments to the existing threads already posted. Thank you.

I believe there are already threads discussing Am I An Exhibitionist, etc. Use the search function, or try the All Forums section and find Behavior and Etiquette.

Right, too much has been said about this recently.

I have this nasty feeling I may have hurt someone with my questions, which I didn't mean to. I didn't mean to troll this forum, I just wanted to know if a nudist club was a place where I can not only be nude, but also, that it not be thought of as unexpected or gross, me openly displaying (while not necessarily emphasizing) my unavoidable sexual reactions to whoever I find attractive.

I have been told that I should rather seek a swingers' club. I'm not so sure, I'm not really into spouse-switching. I'm looking for what I said above. I am a nudist, a swinger, or what?

Well, it's official! This thread has been completely hijacked by the "Free Willy" contingent. A topic of which has been discussed ad-nauseam on a countless number of other threads.

When you shift your focus to erections, sexual excitement, and other erotic thoughts you are no longer describing nudism but hedonism.

Simple nudity is not erotic to a nudist. Back in the 1700's seeing a woman's calf & ankle was erotic to the average male because of the fashions of the day. Today if you see a woman's calf in a clothed environment it is no big deal because it is something you see every day.

Same thing in nudism. When you see the human body nude as a common sight it is not erotic. When you get frisky with your partner . . . that IS still erotic. As nudists we just ask that you get frisky in private.

I can tell that i like to live my life in the nude.

I don't consider the sight of my nudity the golden private right of just a girlfriend or someone who i trust enough to show my nude body to her/him because i don't have to trust a single bit someone to feel right to be seen nude by her/him.

I'm not even able to feel embarrassed anymore. You know what that means? Not even thinking about wrapping a towel around my body after a shower even if i'm not alone, going to a clothed beach already nude (lack of law enforcing thankfully allows this)... And more.

But i also can tell you that while i don't feel the need to cover up my body because modesty is not part of my behavior, i "still" find mere female nudity arousing. The same way i expect a nude woman to not be offended by me showing arousal (which means erection) i would NEVER be offended by a woman showing signs of arousal because of my nude body. I would even understand a woman/man getting nude in public just to get looks upon her.

Now on to the real question:

If i'm not a nudist... What the heck i am?
Psycho K Posted - 09/17/2011 : 06:24:52 AM
I don't believe being an experienced nudist means you would never get aroused when you saw an attractive person. I'm not saying there's a high chance, but this as well as erections happening for no apparent reason are still instances to account for. I live in NYC which is a clothed environment of ~8 million people. I've seen plenty of attractive women for years now; I'm used to it. I can assure you that doesn't mean it's 100% guaranteed that I'll never find one arousing again.

For nudism, some males that are new to it may find themselves aroused somewhat often, but as they continue to get more experience with it, it happens less. For example, assume his initial chance of being aroused (he's not doing anything "frisky") in a nudist area that he stayed at for 5 hours was initially 35%. After being a nudist for a year, whenever he visits these places, the chance has reduced to 3% in that 5 hour time frame. It feels like you're saying it will eventually be 0% (after another year perhaps), but I don't see how that's possible. These chances don't account for random erections at all which I won't even try to guess the incidence rate of. To avoid another layer of complexity, I am excluding the fact that men can get aroused without being erect (as mentioned before). Ultimately, the chance still exists so this dynamic doesn't change much.

I think my hypothesis that new male nudists are more likely to be aroused than experienced ones is reasonable. With that in mind, when you have an erection-hiding policy active, it's more likely to give them more to "worry" about. I'm not saying hiding it is especially difficult; I'm just asking why nudists find it offensive if he did not? You said something about shifting the focus, but how does having an erection do that? For example, he was swimming and wants to get out of the water and go back to his spot on the beach. Why should he have to wait in the water for his erection to go away before he walks back? The way I see it, if he's able to ignore it, why are those watching not able to do the same (assuming they found such a sight offensive)?

That's the point, man. Hiding an erection (which is supposed to mean arousal in men) is like pretending such a thing is wrong or doesn't exist at all.

About sexual orientation, i only speak for myself. I'm (proudly) straight.

Let me put this straight, we are all grown people i guess.

Hypothetically, if i get into a nudist beach and walk by a nude woman, what if i get a boner?

I'd feel offended to be requested to cover up my erection just because she can't accept that's a NATURAL reaction to an AROUSING sight.

Face it, it doesn't give anyone a good impression of nudism at all.
Psycho K Posted - 09/17/2011 : 03:25:31 AM
...Except that they're not pretending these things are unattractive. Nudists that disapprove of seeing erections (the reason for which my question may find with more responses) want them to hidden when they happen. I don't remember anyone saying arousal shouldn't happen at all.

I don't think my question requires a new topic, but I don't mind making one if Admin suggests it. As a minor side note, remember that some of us men are attracted to the same sex as well, so there's that too.
lookatme Posted - 09/16/2011 : 8:56:16 PM
Yeah, Psycho K pretty much asked the right question.

Like i said, if nudists can't take a natural reaction to atractiveness (which is fully uncovered in a nude state), then nudism is nothing but a sick bunch of prejudices that expect people to pretend that a pair of breasts, a nice pair of buttocks (this may sound rough, i know) or just a good looking lady naked shouldn't be arousing...

Yeah Psycho K, here in Uruguay the clothing standard is pretty much the same (although it is normal to see topless women at clothed beaches here, and u can see partial nudity on antenna free channels commonly)
