Posted - 01/05/2009 : 08:49:22 AM There is not very much to find on Oahu for nude sunbathing . I have talked with a few locals from there and I hear the police are serious about enforcement . You might try the beach near the polo fields but use caution and beaware of blue shirts on the beach . |

Posted - 01/04/2009 : 6:13:16 PM I would like some info on getting some sun in honolulu. I sometimes go to mokuleia but I find that most of the time I get there it is overcast and windy. Looking for a closer beach to hangloose at. I am in Honolulu. |

quote: Maui Sun Club
It is with great regret that I now must give notice that Maui Sun Club is officially closed. New Owners will be taking over the property for a private retreat. Deposits for future reservations have been sent out in the mail on July 25, 2006. You should be receiving them shortly. If you were holding reservations with a credit card, they have not been charged and information distroyed. To all those that I have met over the years, I will charish my memories and hope that we will meet again. I will be sure to contact you with my new contact information. To all those I have not met I hope that you will have the chance to spend some time on this magical side of the island. In the Hana area I have two recommendations; Anya's House www.anyashouse.com/ 808-248-8071. This beautiful house offers lots of privacy and is close to Alelele Waterfalls and Seven Pools. Luana Spa http://www.luanaspa.com/ 808-248-8855. This lovely yurt overlooking Hana Bay is within walking distance to Clothing optional Red Sands Beach, shops and dining . On the Big Island of Hawaii, Hangin Loose http://www.hanginloose.com/ 866-543-6324. Multiple accommations for a relaxing naturist holiday. Please let them know that you were referred by Georgianna. Aloha, Georgianna
It appears she closed the Club nearly two years ago, and at that time she recommended three other facilities in Hawaii. Their web sites are operational.

Posted - 03/02/2008 : 10:51:25 AM OK, so what happened to the Maui Sun Club??
We had a wonderful vacation there in one of their "jungle huts" a fews years ago. Everything powered by solar electricity (and most effectively too!!) was a real treat.
Anyone know the present status?

Posted - 07/01/2004 : 1:23:39 PM Allglad, Maui Sun Club (mauisunclub.com) is down by Hana and is a very small resort - three cabins and two apartments, but is a lot of fun to stay at. Red Sands Beach is a couple of miles away. I'm not aware of any other resorts, but Little Beach is on the other side by Kihei/Wailea in the Makena area. I also live in Honolulu. Welcome to the forum.
