Since responding to this thread over 10 years ago, I've also stopped shaving and gone to waxing. It was difficult finding a local esthetician so I had to widen my search and found an esthetician about an hour away. She's worth the drive. Professional, thorough and friendly … we've become friends and we share travel tips. She's traveled the world and seen many more places than we have so she's my go to person for advice and tips.

It takes almost two hours to do what I have done and it's because she's so thorough that it adds to the time I'm on the table. We talk the entire time. I catch her up on family and friends and she asks me tons of questions on nudism. Yes, she knows I'm a nudist.

Loves being naked. Plays well with others!

I have been reading through the various answers on this topic, so i thought i would enlighten people about myself, i reached puberty when i was 13years old when i found i had a skin problem, so it was decided after the various tests the only way to limit the problem was to remove all body hair from the neck down, so up until i left home when i was 17 i was shaved every other day completely by my beautiful mother(rest her soul),and she did an amazing job,
After then i carried on shaving with help, until i found a lady who then waxed and still now waxes me from top to bottom to this very day. And for me there is no better feeling than to be completely smooth and free of hair.

The first time I shaved my pubic hair was when I was 15, I kept it shaven for a while after that and in my early twenties let it grow again. When I met my wife she was completely shaven, and I got into the habit of shaving again, although she does not mind the hair, she likes smooth. We often have a mutual shaving session, which makes it more fun and then it does not seem like such a chore....lol.

My first time was when I was still in high school, in the late 60's. I hated the look of hair so decided to get rid of it. The more I removed, the better I liked it. I've been hairless for 40+ years.

Hi

I finally became shaved by accident!

I've seen women shaved for the last decade or more, getting more frequent all the time. The first time I saw men who'd shaved was at Cap d'Agde, not far from where I live - about six years ago.

It looked odd then, but then so did shaven women at first. It's the surprise of the new, I suppose.

I then stopped at Le Couderc, near the Dordogne valley. The women who worked there were shaved and the guy who ran the place had trimmed his body hair to a neat shortness.

Spool forward now a couple of years. Pastis and I went to Almanat, on the Mediterranean cost near Malaga. I wanted to get rid of a lot of my chest hair, which was now more noticeable because it had started growing grey, and so I shortened it. I also trimmed my pubic hair to a crew cut.

That was a surprise for Pastis and she said straight away that she preferred it. And she had a surprise for me because she'd shaved almost all her bush off, leaving just a light fuzz at the base that hid nothing. I found that quite erotic and it certainly looked better, so I suggested she shave off the rest. It was the signal she'd been waiting for, I think, because she got to work straight away and spent the two weeks completely shaven.

I was taken, too, by not having a great bird's nest at the top of my legs and every morning I trimmed it shorter and then started shaving it down to a slightly smaller patch.

I kept it up through the winter and into the start of summer. Then one day I ran a razor across the top of my hair and took off more than intended. There was barely any left and, lying in the sun and wondering what it would look like gone, I got up and shaved off the rest.

It took a day or two to get used to the new look but I was convinced. It's stayed like that since.

Since then I've noticed more and more shaved naturists. Whether they do it because they like it or through social pressure to conform, I don't know. I've never discussed it. But the trend is certainly to shaving.

At Le Fiscalou last summer, everybody round the pool had shaved. I've never seen that before. Shaving is common among Dutch naturists, who were the majority there. After a while, I noticed a British couple arrive in their camping-car. They went off to instal themselves, then came naked to the pool. They hadn't shaved, although the woman had trimmed a lot.

I thought no more of it, noticing only that my walk to the bar half an hour later coincided with their getting up, leaving their towels, and wandering away. When I came back after a beer and a look at the Tour de France on TV, they too were walking back to the pool.

Shaved.

I'm sure I wasn't the only one to notice. Nor the only one to wonder just what conversation had led to it!

I shaved my pubic hair for the first time in 2004 the summer I turned 30. I had never thought about it before until reading about it on another nudist web site
The first time I did it myself and it went badly. I didn't know about trying to shorten it first so I just went at it with a razor and cut it all off. I ended up with lots of cuts and bumps and it was not fun.
I decided I liked having little or no hair down there so I have continued it fairly regularly since. I am too lazy to do it often enough so sometimes it starts to grow back some before I go back to cut it all off again.
I use a disposable razor and have not had any more trouble with bumps in years and rarely any itching.
Sometimes I use Nair to get rid of my chest hair and once in a while my arms and once in a long time my legs.
Just in the last couple days I used Nair to get rid of all my hair from the neck down except the pubic hair which I shaved. The only area from the neck down I did not get is my back. Fortunqately I am not a very hairy person anyway but it is impossible to reach my own back to even try to shave or Nair it so sincei do not have any help I have no choice to leave itI wish I could stay that way all the time with no body hair but I hate the bother of doing it and can not afford to get laser hair removal. Nair is easier than shaving all that hair and avoids the nicks but is still a bother.
I wish I could have somebody help me with it but not being in a relationship that is really not an option.

Tried many methods. In the shower, Gillitte Mach 3 Turbo razor and ladies gel foam shaving cream. No nicks. That is Gillette Satin Care Gel. Try it. Has lubricants or something that really work.

try shaving in the shower and use hair conditioner instead of soap or shaving cream i also try to use a new diposable blade each time, since i'm smooth all over i start from the hest and work down. the hair conditiner works like a lubricant on your body and allows the blade to flow easier - less cuts and nick, also try going commando ( no underwear) so nothing is tight against the skin.

Hey all!

I have tried to shave a couple of times but every time I shave the pubic area it feels Ok for that day (if i'm lucky) but then the day after that it is just horrible. It is just so ITCHY cos the hair grow to form a stubble within hours of shaving and I can't lay naked around my parents' house while they're there.

So how did you guys resolve this? Please don't tell me you use an epilator (the thing which automatically pulls the hairs out) as I've tried it once and the pubes did not appreciate the pain. (didn't get half of it done lol, thank god it's not a showy place or it would have looked like only shaving half your beard).

I shave every other day in the shower.I have no trouble nicking my self, just let the water become the lubercant. Now if I shave dry....That is a problem! Nicks and red bumps!

Nope, I shave the minute I get out of the shower, standing wet and naked at the bathroom sink. I use Edge or Skintique (whichever is on sale at Costco), lather my face, pubic area penis and scrotum, and have at it. The finish off with after-shave cream.

You apply some shaving cream (like Edge) to your face, and the rest to your pubic region, scrotum, etc. And then you shave. If you do it every day, you get no rash, no ingrown hairs, no stubble, no itch. C'mon guys, it adds two minutes or less to your morning routine. Just "shave"! It's a personal preference. And if your doctor or nurse or some other "health professional" says, "Why do you shave?" (which happened to me once, you answer, "Because I'm a nudist and I like it that way."

Do you shave in the shower ? If you use shaving foam when you shave, I guess you are in the shower. I would like very much to shave everyday. However,I can not shave my face with a razor because I nick myself. I use an electric razor. Have to get in the shower to foam up and shave my loins. If I didn't foam up in the shower, I would cut myself. I'm trying different things now, but so far the Mach 3 is best.
Thank you .

Hi everyone! First post and first time shaved (last week).
I was used to just trimming, then during a shower I took my razor and...
Now I just can't wait to get to a beach and go bare
(my advice, only way to get rid of the itchies was baby oil..)
Bye!

When you mention Baby Oil, does that mean after you shaved? A few weeks ago, my hairs had grown back to about 12mm long. I had read on another forum that some have tried Baby Oil and Olive Oil to shave and highly recommended both. So,I got in the shower. Why the shower ? To wash off the Gillette Mach 3 Razor to keep it clear. Applied the J' n 'J Baby Oil, and went at it. Amazing. The hairs just glided off ! No nicks, no grabbing. Then, a week later, used Gillette Mens Foam , and had several nicks. Back to a forum, and someone posted to try Ladies Foam shave cream. I found ladies Gillette Satin Care , "Sensitive Skin" at Wal-Mart and tried that. Much, much better, but still a couple of very slight nicks. Now, thinking about other methods. Has anyone tried the Norelco/Phillips Men's Body Groomer rechargable ? Looks very promising, and it has a money back guarantee. Less than $37 at Wal-Mart and $32 with free shipping at Amazon.com.
Clear and Sunny Skies to All !
