Posted - 05/24/2006 : 12:53:36 AM my husband and i are going to the outer banks for the first time this weekend and are wondering if we'll have a chance to sunbathe the way it's supposed to be done...
we've heard rumors of a common use c/o beach somewhere near ocracoke...but can't find any specific details. does anyone know where and how popular the best nude beach in the outer banks might be?
(apologies if the outer banks have been discussed eslewhere in the forum, but i couldn't find them anywhere) |

Posted - 02/26/2012 : 09:57:42 AM I have a house on Hatteras Island between Buxton and the Village of Hatteras in the town of Frisco on 14 acres. Plenty of seclusion to shed clothes on the deck. I will be adding a hot tub and bathing pool in the future. I only want to make it available to nudist friends. If you are interested please reply to my e-mail at jrbrueckner@hotmail.com. It is small and sleeps 4 people. I plan on adding a guest house in the future. My intention is to keep it very reasonable....only $350-450 a week and keep it just amongst friends because I have a lot of family items in the house. Please let me know if interested. Thanks, Jim

Posted - 10/14/2007 : 11:54:55 AM Report on Ocracoke as of October, 13, 2007 - We were at the north end of the beach (as far as you can drive), there were several couples nude at the time. Myself and a woman parked next to my wife and I were walking down the beach. We were about 300 yards up the beach from were we were parked. I saw a white truck come up the beach, but it stopped by the parked cars. I thought it was some more people going to park by us, then when i saw it drive past the no drive zone I knew it was the park patrol. I covered up as soon as I saw it comming. The lady walking ahead of me didn't see the patrol coming and did not cover up. The park patrol wrote her up with a ticket and gave me a warning ticket and told me it would be kept on record and if I was caught again I would be given a ticket. It turned out when he stoped the first time he wrote two people up that were parked beside us. When he stoped at the other car my wife was able to cover up and was not written up. He came up the beach very fast and stopped right at the car beside us who were nude and did not get a chance to cover up due to the speed he was traveling. That's about it. He must have looked with glasses in order to know where to stop in the first place.

Posted - 05/24/2006 : 09:34:41 AM You might visit Jasmine Trail (formerly Pamlico Pines) in New Bern, NC (an hr. from Greenville, NC) whose previous owner, Barney, fishes at the Outer Banks from time to time.
There are no legal beaches in the Carolinas.
