For $159,000, you can have a five star resort for your backyard.

For that money, nowhere else could you have a 247,000 gallon lagoon pool, and 2 heated conversation pools, 2 volleyball pools, 2 hot tubs, and a full gym with a steam room and a dry sauna. Also in your backyard is a full service European Spa, a fine dining restaurant, a sports bar with its own menu, a grotto bar, a beach bar, a piano bar and a full nightclub.

You can't find this kind of living anywhere, not even with a 5 million dollar estate, which often has only one pool and one jacuzzi.

People here can buy a casita and have that for $159,000 to $179,000. The monthly fees are 'dirt cheap'. People are shocked to find the HOA fees are $72 dollars a month, instead of $300+ dollars a month you may be paying with your current association.

For $159,000 you get all of this. As we write this in June of 2008, your annual expenses to own a piece of property at Caliente, to live here, full time as a resident, comes out to around $6,240 a year, plus any mortgage. So the cost of owning a casita, with taxes, insurance, annual membership, and Home Owners Association fees, and basic utilities, would come out to $6,240 a year. When averaged out monthly comes out to $520 a month, plus any mortgage.

Chris sells casitas for Caliente, and has bought a casita for himself and his wife, where they live as residents at Caliente. "At today's interest rates, the average mortgage on one of these casitas would come out to around 11 to 12 thousand dollars a year. If you make regular trips here, say once a month, you end up spending around 11 to 12 thousand dollars a year, just to rent a casita and stay here for a week, and a few weekends, you know, coming on a regular basis. That's why we bought. That's exactly why we bought our casita, we did the math. From what we were already spending, we thought we might as well put that into ownership."

Amenities include a 33,000 sq ft clubhouse, with two restaurants and five bars. Add to this five swimming pools, with four of those swimming pools heated, and two hot tubs.
